Have you installed analytics code "all over" the site?

Analytics doesn't seem to be accurate at all right now. One of my sites have dropped huge in traffic, over 50% It shows in statcounter, awstats and the number of adsense impressions. Still analytics keep reporting the same number of visitors lol

If you have a static site its should be "all over" the site -- as you want to trace all the visitors coming in..

If its dynamic then I suppose adding it to the a php file which is included in all the pages would do the trick...

You will be missing the stats for the pages where analytics hasn't been added.

Look, I currently have four statistics counters.
    - Analytics
    - Sitemeter
    - My host counter
    - statcounter
All of them show different numbers, so I just make an average and keep the result.

Very accurate for me. One of my favorite Analytics Stats are the "Goals Stats" ("Objetivos" in spanish), where I'm tracking clicks on AdSense using a custom javascript file.

I am pleased with Google Analytics. It appears that this program is picking up all of my pages and it should be doing the same for you. Maybe your code isn't installed on every page or perhaps installed incorrectly on some others.

I would say very accurate as well.

The limitation is if the viewer has javascript disabled, then google analytics won't be able to count that visitor.

But I think they have a log file parser too for those which want stats down to the microvisitors.

They are very accurate for me too, you just have to make sure that the tracking code is on all the pages.

I disagree with your plug in" why? simple it is impossible for one thing to track your intire net work I have my site listed in over 100,000 directories I get sales but the Google Analytic is not tracking them all"

sales are more important then trying to trace the source you have to be working with Google to do that kind of seomenship"

Well no one knows how much they're accurate. But you can use another stats software and analytics at the same time to determine their results and then you can compare each other :)

But for me ........ Analytics are 90% accurate.

    Maybe this help ya!

yeah i use 3 services for my blogs and there has not been a single day when all the three showed similar stats , analytics always showed more pageviews than the other two , mainly because it is not down during the day , while the other two may be down during the day , so i predict analytics is good and more accurate
