How accurate is Alexa ranking?

One place use to be the Internet Explorer browser. IE had a secret Alexa program that was tracking where you visited online. It was reported to Alexa. If IE still has that Alexa tracker, I would not be surprised.

 

i think alexa rank report is accurate,your website traffic only decides alexa rank. whether you have got more visitors per day then alexa rank will be reduced.

Alexa is a popular site that keeps track of site access statistics and their rankings. Page Rank is based on many factors like back links, in links, bounce rate,etc. Only Google knows the exact algorithm for PR. But Alexa Rank is only based on the traffic we are getting.
