Who's Maki? You can learn all the techniques for free on forums such as DP and with little googling. There are tons and tons of tips published everywhere. However, you could buy the book too and get much information in one place. It's pretty basic stuff though.
If it has "secrets" in the title, then thats a dead give away, that you'll likely be throwing money out of the window. Such "secrets" books are little more as a compilation of really not so secret and published to death general tips. In other words: The only value, they offer is sparing you some hours of work, looking for the info yourself. Assuming, that there are ways to multiply your AdSense earnings, Google would not tell you about is quite ridiculous, as every clicked banner makes them money too, so big G has a very strong interest in (helping) you being successful. Anything beyond what Google discloses is likely blackhat and therefore dangerous, even if you know exactly what you are doing (anyone at the training level by definition does not know, what s/he is doing).
