Good to have a Kontera representative on DP. I am thinking about adding it to a few of my blogs to increase revenue streams. Can you tell me which website theme's it works best with?
Hello, Hi I'm Mika from Kontera. I wanted to say that Kontera (ContentLink) and Adsense are different but they can both run together on the same page. Mika
Hi! I recently emailed to Google Adsense support regarding the eligibility of embedding Kontera ads alongside Google Adsense ads and I got the following reply from their side. It's not so good news unfortunately. Please read its important.. Hello Syed, Thank you for your email. According to our programme policies, Kontera ads may not be displayed on the same page as Google ads on your site. However, you are welcome to display those ads on pages of your site that do not include Google ads. In general, AdSense programme policy does not permit Google ads to be published on the same page as other contextually targeted ads. You can review this and all Google AdSense programme policies, at https://www.google.com/adsense/policies . For additional questions, I'd encourage you to visit the AdSense Help Centre ( http://www.google.com/adsense_help ), our complete resource centre for all AdSense topics. Alternatively, feel free to post your question on the forum just for AdSense publishers: the AdSense Help Group ( http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help ). Sincerely, Siobhán The Google AdSense Team
what the hell? That should not be true. I am using both in the same page. check www.nintynine.org, let me see if they can bann me.
o Wow, WTF. Kontera is inline text ads and has nothing look like google adsense ads. In fact, I know a whole bunch of people that have Adsense and Kontera in 1 page. >_>
I don't see kontera overtaking adsense anytime soon. Their ads are more intrusive and annoying and less targeted.
I saw my earning report yesterday. I made 17 clicks this week and revenue was only 95 cents. Pathetic. Kontera sucks.
Early in 2007, Google updated their Terms of Services (TOS) regarding competitive advertisers. Google's policy in the past was to not allow other contextual advertisers to appear on the same page as they, but as of January 18, 2007, Google removed that clause meaning that competitor's ads will now be allowed on the same page as AdSense, provided they didn't resemble or mimic AdSense ads. This is written in under "competitive ads and services" in the adsense program policy. Of course, we’d prefer it if our publishers run only our ContentLinks, just as Google would prefer their publishers only use AdSense. In reality, most of our publishers are running AdSense as well.
