    Hello everyone,
Ipowerweb deleted my database and can't restore,I lose my 2 years' meticulous care. Before this I also have many troubles from ipowerweb so I moved another site to hostgator. What should I do now?
    What about hostgator?Is it good?
Hope hostgator won't like the sick ipowerweb.

If you don't keep regular back-ups you'll eventually suffer the same no matter what the hosting company is. If your website does not consume too much CPU then you should be fine with Hostgator, otherwise, you should get a VPS or your own server.

I have a Hostgator account, for small websites, also a server for the big ones. I think Hostgator is one of the best cheap hosts, from my experience I can't say the same with Dreamhost or bluehost, but afterall, it's still a "cheap host", there is an extent to what you can expect from that category.

Hostgator certainly has a pretty good reputation.

There are also many other good hosts independently reviewed here.

You made the right choice to move to hostgator. they have so far managed to maintain a good quality support.

Hostgator runs a much better ship than ipower. You'll be fine there. No matter what host you are with I still recommend doing your own periodic site backups including mysql db backups. Best of luck to you :)

I don't have any experience with Ipowerweb..but, I'm using Hostgator from 4 months and I don't have any problems with them so far. Their support is good... I recommend Hostgator.
