Hi guys, I came across namepros.com (another big Webmaster forum) some time ago and joined tht community aswell, for business reasons.

They have additional chatrooms for their members, where they can discuss easily deals. From my point of view, their chatroom has tied the community together and the people there are doing more deals than we on DP, and I think the reason is the chatroom.

I would like to have a similar chatroom on DP aswell, how do you think about it dudes?

This has been discussed numerous times already. It doesn't seem like it's going to happen.

Chatroom would not be a bad idea, better than having to switch to skype or msn

Really I am sorry, the search didn't work and I have started this thread.

I don't understand why? It would make it easier to get in contact with the buyer, seller. As I mentioned in my OP. I am sure that the chatroom there has helped NP to hold the community together and it increased the activity on the forum aswell!

Yes you are right, I always need to get in contact with my costumers before ending the deal, it prevents scam. My big problem is, that many of the users here on DP don't use the same instant messenger like me and then we have to send a PM after another. That way we need about 30 minutes to end the deal.

I've seen several sites use the java mirc function to create chat areas.

    Just a thought.

I would be interested in a chat room for DP, even if it wasn't sponsored directly by DP.

Getting to know the community by using one more venue doesn't sound bad to me.

I dont think there is any need of a chat room. Any communication between buyers or sellers can be easily done on the forum, or through PMs.

In my case I am selling products on DP,which need to be explained to the buyer, therefore it would help me save much time.

the point is that many are too lazy to download a new IM, therefore, don't think that complicated,

a PM like, meet you in the chatroom will save much time, believe me, I did business here on Dp and on Np aswell and I have to say that it is much easier to finish deals on NP.
