sounds simple enough, is there any reason in particular why digitalpoint does not have a directory on the domain? im sure it would quickly become a valuable webmaster resource i get dibs on a free featured link for the idea though
its your forum and you can do as you please, however im sure im not the only person who would agree that its worth doing
yes there are, and yes most are a total load of shite, but there are plenty of people here who would be willing to help edit it and make it something to rival the dreaded dmoz perhaps
Mmmmm... I dunno. Just sounds like more work for me to be honest. lol I suppose after we get vBulletin 4.0 up and live here I could look at doing something like that for the premium members. Definitely would not open it up to everyone though, as it would just be a spam free for all.

I would not really expect anyone to disagree with shaun, people need to stop sniffing his arse for e-rep, he is not god, just some guy who made a forum that we use. i have noticed that for people who have english as a second language, they seem to get some huge self satisfaction from pointing out typos or spelling mistakes. give yourself a pat on the back for noting my schoolboy error. your so amazing at this english stuff

gutted you know me so well Exactly what i told shaun in a PM, directories make money. if people dont know how to make money from their directory and they think they are a waste of time - then they are clearly not doing things right. if DP had a directory, it would quickly get ranked and when newbie submitters come along and pay for a express review DP makes money. Times that by xxxx amount of submissions and you could easily make more from submissions than adsense. So far the only reason i have heard not to have a DP directory is - "there are already so many" - thats not really a good reason and when you put that up against just 1 of the benefits - cash, then its easy to see the light.
It would be a good idea. Not sure how it would be come spam? You would just be accepting sites that come in. I think this would be a good idea for DP.
