How About A Coop Network "Yardstick"

I fully understand the reasons why total amount of weight in the network is not disclosed... total number of pages etc. But people are consistently reporting huge changes in weight, which I am convinced is simply due to google deciding to no longer index all of the crappy pages we all made in an effort to get a ton of weight. If they can't punish the sites getting the links pointed at them, they can essentially do the same thing by not indexing all of the MFC (made for Coop) pages that result in the huge amounts of weight, which in turn results in huge numbers of backlinks.

But, this is just a theory. We are told that weight it "relative" so if the entire network weight is sized down, our proportion of weight to the overall network will remain the same. However, as the total number of pages that google indexes is also reduced, the total number of backlinks google finds will also be reduced.

Thus, I think it would be helpful for us to be given a simple "yardstick" or "index" where we can track overall coop relative size. What I mean is... however many total pages that displayed coop ads were in the google api index on a certain day in the past is given an index point of 100. Say if we set that point about 2 months ago, and if there were (just picking a number here) 50 million pages that were currently indexed by google, then that would get the baseline value of 100. Now, if today, due to google deindexing a whole bunch of pages the number is now 25 million then the factor today is .5. This way we could track what google is doing (or not doing) to pages in the coop in general, without being given the sensitive, exact information that it is based on.

Perhaps a similar system could be used for overall weight in the coop.

That would really cause a nightmare I think with people then trying to sell a percentage of the ad network impressions.

Guess I wasn't clear... I'm not talking about releasing any number relative to individual users... What I mean what it the proportion of total number of pages indexed by google in the network today versus a month ago? Is it more, is it less? If so, by what percentage. That's all I'm looking for.

People can track that on their own if they want...

Im talking about the network as a whole.... You said that weight is relative to the other weight in the network... So if my weight is falling, I would like some basic barometer to give me an indication if the weight of the overall network is dropping also.

Perhaps this is an easier question.... with all of the complaints of people saying their weight has dropped due to google deindexing a lot of their pages.... has the overall number of pages in the network also decreased by any significant amount? That is all that I am trying to determine.
