    Well i know the concept is quite common on many forums but the concept works well only if your forum has many active members, well what better than Dp which already has 500+ active users all time. could be a better place to chat with dp members who alternatively post on general chat :p

    and if someone really has a similar request you may feel free to vote ;)

    A chat box would be very useful for spamming purposes. The idea have been suggested before and rejected. Use the search function.

    similar niche forums are also using a chatbox with rules dedicated to it and it works pretty well, you can allow members with certain post count only to be able to use chatrooms in that way you won't find much spammers in the chat room and still if you do, there's always a Permanent Ban option available :D
