I have a site that is like digg but ive done it as a seo news site only, the domain also host my personal seo blog. how would i go about marketing this kinda site? i might be able to spare a little cash in advertising.

these sorts of social websites really publicise themselves through word of mouth. So want to get this going through blogs/social bookmarking sites etc, ie (from a brief article i wrote): 1. Get linked on your topic from wikipedia or other relevant wikis. 2. Share bookmarks of your main, and some key pages on social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us. 3. Submit your key urls to google sitemaps (decrease listing time of new content from days to hours). 4. Get blogged about and tagged (ask a key client/customer). 5. Start a blog on your domain about your website. You may also want to update and change the design of the site (ie remove pligg references) to make it more unique etc. You could also get someone from an seo site to review it.
