Actually, we take 1.1 million legal immigrants ever year, so I'd hardly say it's impossible. Obviously you don't think there should be a limit to how many people we take, but I think you're wrong. We have to limit how many people can come here, that's just the cold, hard fact.

No, there's plenty of people back in Mexico that want a better life. They're not criminals. It's the ones who act illegally on that desire who are criminals.

Probably by year 2150, United States population would become 65% latin americans and official language spanish, like mcallen, laredo and brownsville. :D

Sadly, the reason I'm in uproar over this is not because I fear that.

I fear what is going on right now. Communist Aztlan, who organized the LA protest, using hispanic pride to muster up rioting and protesting. They advocate ethnic cleansing of all whites from SouthWest USA.

May 1st, International Communism day, will be used to boycott and protest.
May 5th, cinco de may, will also be used by Aztlan to stir up Mexican pride, and anti-americanism.

Realize these people are unlike any other immigrant community before. They do not assimulate. These people believe they are Mexican, not American. They speak Spanish, they pay their taxes to the Mexican government, etc.

My fear is when the violence erupts, the "reluctant dictator" steps in to save the people, and Martial Law is declared. That's my fear.

We have 80 prisons empty but fully staffed. Hell there's one but 50 miles from my house. They can house over 20 million. And maybe the 300,000 on the "possible terrorist list" will be rounded up too.

There is where things get tricky. I also know there needs to be a limit. The problem is, what is the limit?

Again, I think illegal immigrants are very misunderstood.

How can you call someone a criminal, who bravely leaves his home, his country, his wife and kids, everything he knows and loves - to come to a country that spits on him and abuses him - so he can hope to slave all day just to send some money back home to feed his family. It's not a desire, it's desperation.

I'm sorry that you think I'm misunderstanding, but I feel like it's pretty simple. I'm not spitting on them or anything, I'm just calling a spade a spade. If you break the law, you are a criminal, regardless of your motivation. If you don't want to be a criminal, don't break the law. It puts us in danger when countless people cross the border illegally, even if the large majority have good intentions. Look at the rise of MS-13. We can't just continue to allow it simply because these poor people could have a better life here. How many billion people on earth could have a better life here?

You break the law- you deal with the consequences if you're caught.

I believe there's a saying about that, "Don't to the crime...."

I personally love Mexicans- they're great and I would like to see them all stay here. The issue, I believe, is securing the borders.

If it's easy to get into Mexico then it's easy to get into the US. And that's a BIG problem- IMO.

I don’t agree with this at all. Why do people run instead of trying to make things better? They have a government and the right to vote, so build a better country.

Here we have an old saying “Hell is full of people that had good intentions”
The law is the law and it applies to everyone, even to those with good intentions.

Good, I hope they piss all Americans off, so we will finally take a stand against them, maybe if we are all on the same page then congress will get a clue.

We don't "NEED" these people. We were doing just fine before them(if not better), and we will do just fine without them.
Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, and tell Chavez we said HI.

State your sources or go home sounding like a racist. Wasn't this country stated by a bunch of imigrants? 200 years later we act like we own the world. Remember that much of the land imigrants live on use to be their homeland, NOT part of the us.

    Why is that racist???

I’m sick and tiered of listening to people using that word. Why can’t an American dislike the fact that immigrants are invading his country??

That’s why in my opinion we in Europe and America are in great trouble. These immigrants walk into our countries and end up having more rights than we do. Instead of us showing them how to do things they are demanding we do things there way.

If we dislike there behaviour (RACIST).
If we don’t agree with their religious beliefs (RACIST).
If we say they’re not working accordingly (RACIST).
If we do anything they go (RACIST).

RACIST is their get out of jail free card and their not scared of using it.

Sorry but I don’t know how to phrase it any better than that. I don’t have any problem with people from other countries or with other beliefs. I do have a problem with people coming to my country and telling me I must change to suit them. Honestly I think we are all the some in Gods eyes and to him a human is a human regardless of their colour

Well I'm glad life is so simple for you. Where everything is black and white, good or bad. The reality is for most of us, life is a big gray area.

Guns puts us in danger when countless people can own them, even if the large majority have good intentions.

Cars puts us in danger when countless people crash them everyday, even if the large majority have good intentions.

Dogs puts us in danger when some of them bite people, even if the large majority have good intentions.

Are you getting a clue yet?

Great summary. The word racists is highly missused.

Racist is a follower to the ideology racism and is about the belief that some human races are better than others. Behaviour and beliefs are not about the race issue and therefore not racism.

    On a personal level.

I was a contractor and in the middle of the job, the landlord said I have a mexican who will finish the job at a fraction of the cost.

I was going to sue him, but then decided it would be a waist of time.

That was my experience. And I am sure it is happening all over the country.

So let them strike, and it will hurt the bad companies.

The original “Hillbilly” one was better, but don't worry no offense taken. Noticed that I'm European? :D

The thing about immigration and consequently racism is that many see this word as an escape route from their problems. Racism has only to do with race and nothing to do with Religious beliefs, Political views, Economy or work ethic. I don't care about race but I do care about other factors that may or may not affect my way of life, Just like many Americans do. This does not make them racist, only concerned citizens. ;)
