I have a big problem with how they are attempting to deal with this...

What happens when they decide to stop people from buying alcohol with credit cards because they don't like people drinking? It is a slippery slope and creating laws based on a technicality. If you want to continue to have that stuff be illegal fine.. But using what people buy with a credit card as a means to enforcement is just something we should not be getting into at all.

I'm surprised not a lot of people or sites rather are talking about this. This is pretty big if you ask me.

Wow, my casino domain is not going to be sold anymore. I am strongly against this notion by the house though, it is seriously wrong to limit the people's freedom even ONLINE now.

This move has been expected. The Senate bill will most likely fail, as it has in the past. The Senate is much tougher. Additionally, I can see the Senate trying to attach a Rider to the bill and sending it back to the House. Time will run out as usual.

The bill needs to go through the same process in the Senate (at least a couple of months) and finish before Congress ends. The work time is already shortened due to an election year. Furthermore, the bill lacks deep Senate support.

The state of Washington has already outlawed online gambling. In fact, it's a class C felony now (prison time). They basically set an example for other states to follow.

They have been trying to get the legislation into law for a couple years now. It's going to die again this session.
