Here are a few sites that we recently designed using Drupal: http://3cms.org http://newthing.org http://speakupusa.org
I personally like the flexibile and easy to use MODx. It has AJAX and a lot of plugins, snippets, etc. One of the 2...3 web 2.0 CMS/CMF's I know.
I use it & I guess its default installation doesn't gives you enough flexibility to make it work as the way you want. Plugins available doesnt seems to work too; no cute themes available. I am looking for a change but with similar functionality provided to the end user but more powerful for the administrator too. So, for administrator, its not enough good.
@@SHFAQ: Bloatware. Point to danielbruzual - opensourcecms is a great resource for checking these out, if you don't want to try them out on a local machine.
Totally agree, Joomla is great and Opensourcecms is THE place to check them all out quickly and painlessly Joomla is as intuitive as all the others but if you don't take the time to learn the basics then don't blame the system... Been around for ages, looks good and has plenty of potential. More secure than Nuke but I'm not sure that the community around it is as active as Joomla, Mambo, Xoops or Drupal. And the community activity inspires and drives ongoing development so it does matter.
I've yet to try it, but E107 looks very good. It's currently rated at the top spot at opensourcecms.com. http://www.opensourcecms.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=388&Itemid=160
