Hotmail doesn't like my newsletters

I've recently started a newsletter on my site and it seems hotmail really doesn't like my newsletters as it always puts them in the junk folder of my own (and friends) email accounts.

The newsletter is 100% genuine opt-in and has some content that will be extremely useful to my niche market.

I keep my newsletters publically archived so maybe somebody can take a look at them and hazard a guess of whats happening?

A newsletter that WAS received: http://xoog.net/newsletter.php?nid=26
    and some that weren't...
    http://xoog.net/newsletter.php?nid=35
    http://xoog.net/newsletter.php?nid=32
    http://xoog.net/newsletter.php?nid=22

ive tried to get rid of terms such as 'free' and as well i have also followed a lot of guides including optimising header information, but to no success.

    Help/Advice would be appreciated.

Try sending yourself some plain text emails from that domain, see if hotmail tags it as junk. If so, hotmail blacklisted the domain or the IP somehow.

If you`re using some script/software to generate and send the newsletters, try using something else. The pattern of HTML structure might be blacklisted by hotmail.

Make sure there are no obvious words combinations like "free viagra" or "replica watches" and such.

I sent a couple of simple test messages from two accounts from within horde and it seems both have been junked.

this is a serious problem as my own email address 'p.knebel@mysite.com' is also being blocked and I use this for important business.

    any suggestions?

Try moving your domain to another hosting. Maybe someone abused the hosting you`re using and now all emails from this hoster`s IPs are considered junk.

Before that, try sending email to hotmail support, ask them why your legit mails tagged as junk. For a better chance of gettng an answer, dont send the email from your domain, you dont want it to get into support`s junk

i have a dedicated server with my own IPs so unless the IPs have just been re-used I dont think that will be the case.

I have found a useful page for the problem which I'm going to go through as soon as possible, for anybody else who has this problem in the future, here is the page:

I have a similar problem with my current host, i'm finding that any emails, SMTP, web based mail() or automated mass-email scripts have problem getting through the JUNK/SPAM filters like in the hotmail ones and such.

Basically this will not only effect hotmail, since when hotmail or the like have you on there blacklist its generally because they have gotten your IP/domain from a spam cop type source, so you may well be in a generic "bad-list" and switching your IP is usually the best way to do it, ask your current dedicated server host if you can change your IP addresses and that *may* solve your problem.

Me? I'm just changing host full stop, its very annoying and can be bad for business.

    Good luck my friend.
