Hotfile Meta-Tag? What is it.

    I was checking one of my sites today and found this in the header of
    the website.

    <meta name="hotfile" content="hotfile.com-(bunchoflettersandnumbershere">

    Does anyone know what this is?

    The meta name is the website header that what google see it when crawl your site.
    May be the hotfile link is the affiliate link.
    I advise you get rid of the link if the template is not licensed.

    The chances are who ever setup the template was using this site to house their images or any other file on your template. I think as mentos said, it would be a good idea to get rid of this one.
