I have noticed lately Hotfile deleting alot of files how does not avoid files getting deleted due to copy right issue. Is the 2gb max file size for registered users or is it only for premium users??

    Hello

Only Premium users can upload files bigger than 400 MB .

But both anonymouse and premium users can download files bigger than 400 MB .

Damn I wanted to use HF since only premium users can upload bigger than 400mb will have to find another file host. Now that BF is gone for good this time I need to find another file host that allows 2gb file size for free users. I have looked into Mangoshare but files stored 10 days for free users is way to low thinking about going with Fileop

Don't worry there is still another service, you might want to try mediafire. it's quite good in my opinion.

Why don't you use megavideo? Try the premium, you can use multifetcher feature, to fetch the megavideo link to become your own. Beside of that you also can collect points and redeem it later. Having 700MB i'm suspect you're using it for video files. Correct?

I doubt that, its just that so many people are uploading files that they run out of storage.. no filehost can stay alive if people dont upload any warez.. also many people are reporting files so they have to delete them.

Sometimes I get my files deleted after upload and before start share it, so I belive maybe my file has the same name of other file that already been deleted, who knows. So I just change the name.
I never get my files deleted for abuse and all my files are warez.

lol! yeah, you don't report the file, you download it.

I hadn't uploaded a whole lot with hotfile (due to my isp's slow upload speed),

but I did notice that if the file doesn't receive any downloads after a certain amount of days,
the file is removed regardless. and states the same message, this file has been removed due to copyright or has been removed by the user... something like that.

You get an email if the file is removed due to copyright.
I got one once, about a font pack I had uploaded. who reports a font pack really? like you couldn't get the fonts any where else for free. lol
I bet some folks like pressing the report button out of spite or something.. huh huh..
