Joomla 1.0.0 (Stable) has been released! It is available for download at http://www.joomla.org HERE.

It is 'cleaned up' version of Mambo 4.5.2.3.

If you interested in adding Google AdSense to Joomla, you can download a module for that HERE

    Read http://www.opensourcematters.org

Mambo and Joomla have split up with the majority of the development team heading to Joomla..

At the moment they are almost the same thing (expect for this first release mentioned above)

I see. That means the plugins, addons for Mambo can fit into Joomla as well.

Hmm... is it a sign for us to abandon Mambo and go for Joomla?
It seems Mambo is going to be away from open source.

Miro international, the company that first released Mambo as Open Source, made some decisions on the open source software without consulting the core developers. These decisions would affetct the copyright of the open source Mambo and consequently the core developers left to create their own association and a pledge to develop Mambo further independently.

They have renamed it as Joomla and this is the first release.

Most people have converted. Most of the popular Mambo sites have switched their names to Joomla! related names...

Of course, it is a personal choice, but remember that without the core developers, Miro is crippled, even if they really keep it open source...
