    What's with the domain name?

    herp - A common contraction of the word “herpetofauna,” specifically toads, frogs, salamanders, lizards, snakes, and turtles.

    This is a domain that is easy and self-explanatory to the demographic of this niche!

    What is the site?

    HerpVids.com is a video sharing community for reptile and amphibian owners to upload and share videos and photos with each other. Users are able to upload and embed their videos and even their photos! The embed codes are short, sweet and forum compatible enabling your users to drop photobucket and tinypic and start uploading their images with HerpVids!

    Is this niche really that big?

    Yes. Yes. Yes. The most shocking part? This is the only video site of it's kind! The very first! The only possible competition I have found for this site is the following site which offers reptile videos:

    http://www.reptilegeeks.com

    If you look a little closer though, you will see that reptilegeeks.com is using embedded youtube videos for their ENTIRE video section. What does this mean? You're only competition online could end up embedding your videos as opposed to those of youtube!

    Why am I selling it?

    This site was a side project of mine, I listened to what the trade was lacking and I began working toward providing it. I just got a full time job which has me working 60+ hours a week so I simply don't have the time for it anymore.

    I am willing to do all the heavy lifting if you decide to buy the site. I will move the site to your server ensure it is working 100%.

    We'll start the bidding at $100. I'd like to sell the site before the weekend.
