Does anyone use Hot Frog business directory?

I'm a new user to it and I think it's great. Easy set-up, well organized, and a very popular business directory around the U.S.

What are your thoughts on it? Have in problems with it? Banned, or anything like that?

    Why not the questions?

I'm here to learn, not here to lurk.

I have not heard of that one but I will check it out. Do they have many web hosting services listed?

Welcome to the forums Corey. Since you are here to learn, here are your first three lessons.

Lesson #1: When someone new to a forum posts a thread "Hey I found this cool site, what do you think...?" most long-term members are going to suspect shameless self promotion, particularly when you put your keywords in the tags field.

Lesson #2: If the site is indeed yours, you would have gotten a much more positive response had you simply asked for help or suggestions on improving your site. People who frequent this section of DP often go out of their way to help each other despite being competitors.

Lesson #3: Shameless self promotion and solicitations for submissions belong in the Solicitations section.

That said, if you are here to learn, the sticky posts at the top of the category are a great place to start. There's tons of great stuff there and throughout this category.

I'm not a newb to vBulletin. I've been reading the stickies and such. I understand the self promotion because thats all you see on forums like DP. That's why a lot of people get banned.

My topic is definitely genuine. My forum will be launched soon, you'll see it in my signature. But for now, these were legitimate questions. Just like when someone ask about NameCheap or a specific host.

And if I wanted help and suggestions for my own website, I would indeed ask and have no shame in asking. I'm not here to hide affiliate links behind what looks like normal links, i'm not here to seduce anyone to join my website or too make money the wrong way. I'm genuinely here to teach and be taught. This is a big circle of wisdom, you just have to find the right people.

I have proper forum etiquette, i'm not some newb tool. I don't own any websites except for the Sports Forum I have under construction. I'm not here too mooch of anyone or anything like that. I'm here for the same reason the respected members are here, too make a living for themselves and to gain the knowledge to make even more money.
