You basically need a Linux hosting account that can host WordPress, preferably with CPanel to make the transfer easier. If you have CPanel the backup/restore feature can be used and it makes the transfer a breeze.

If you can't use CPanel backup/restore, it is still relatively easy to move the site - make a SQL database dump and import into a new database. Download/upload the files via FTP. Create a database user and grant permissions.
