Yes but not all of them ask nintendo to buy there OWN TM off of them.

 

Why would Nintendo care? All those websites are just free advertising for them. Trust me, with sites like gonintendo and others they have never pursued, I doubt there will be a problem. Their lawyers are not going to be stupid and just not ever see those sites. They know about them. Again, free advertising.

 

Pursuing and just taking a domain that someone offers to sell you when its under your own TM are very different things.

 

All they have to say is no, then what? Either way, they get free advertising...

 

By approaching nintendo you've shown bad faith. This would be cake to take at UDRP, fansites less so because proving bad faith would be more difficult.

I own Nintendo.eu.com and contacted Nintendo UK (Europe headquarters) a while ago and they will not pursui or take action as long as the domain is used to promote/sell/discuss ONLY their product in a good way.

Things not to do: use the domain to sell other products, promote other products, bad mouthing any nintendo products. Follow these rules and you'll be ok.

As for now my domain Nintendo.eu.com is still listed for sale but i'm going to unlist it once i get thruw my portfolio. I'm planning on developping it as a Nintendo Europe Fan site with a small store for Nintendo products section.

People are making to much hassle about the TM issues where it is not appropriate. Maybe people should ASK more questions to the concerning TM owners BEFORE they sell/develop a site.
