Hostway Domain Registration

    Hi

    Hostway domain registration process seems very long. I registered a new account and domains with them 48 hours ago but so far they have not processed the domains names.

    Do you have similar experience?

    Never tried them before but most domain name registration should be automated. Were you billed yet ? If so, you might want to contact them to see what's the hold up.

    It does not seems automated. They have also not charged yet. Will contact them.

    Resellers don't necessarily have the same umph as their registrar partners do.
    That's one major reason why it's preferable to go through the latter.

    You'll be extremely lucky if Hostgator comes through for you by then. If they
    aren't successfully, they'll likely refund you for it.

    It is Hostway and not Hostgator

    I like the bit where it says 'Whether you're looking to find that perfect domain name, transferring or renewing an existing domain name, Hostway can help you with your domain name needs. We make the registration or transfer process quick and simple. ' which does not seems to be the case.

    Whoops, I definitely need glasses.

    IIRC Hostway was acquired by another registrar. I wonder how their systems
    are configured.

    Your registration should be done immediately. This should be a wakeup call for future things to come with this company.

    Complaints against Hostway. More complaints. I would google to learn more about this company.
