Hostso.com - Another scam company ?

Last week, i search on the internet to find a hosting company which approve image hosting site. So I came to hostso.com. First I need to go see their TOS and chat with them to know everything is going to be find if I host my website here (Because I'm serious and i don't want to waste my time set up, get visitors, SEO and then get suspended).

First chat (Sorry I didn't take a screenshot cause I think they're good)

Me: Is Image hosting allowed here?

Mark (Or something similar): Yes, you can

Me: Can I host adult content here becaue it's an image hosting site so people will upload what ever they want and share them

Mark: Sure as long as it legal

Me: I have a lot of visitors, is it a problem

Mark: No, we have large server which give you unlimited resource to host your content

End the chat (I feel happy and oder the elite plan from them which offer unbeliveable 900 Gb space - Unlimited transfer)

After few days, there's nothing happen and i feel pretty happy about their service. I got around 1000UV and 3000 Page views everyday. On day 4, when I decide to put on some ads (Enough visitors and people uploading image to my website everyday)

Day 4th: Account suspended / Against AUP (Refund the money to my paypal account)

And here's the picture of my chat log with them which 1 of them don't even want to chat with me after a few question

This is when I ask about their bandwidth because I have a lot of visitors.




After they suspend my account, i try to chat with their technical service ... They don't want to answer me:

And then, i switch to sales department to ask them and here's the only question they can answer:





Lol, they know nothing but "Your account is terminated, i can't do anything". One of the best customer service .... Don't ever sign up for this site, or you'll just end up like me.

I'm not sad about my account get terminated (True my website have a lot of visitors), but at least they have to tell me and give me sometime to move my website. Now i lose my times, my money, my effort and best of all my customer's trust

 

So can you tell us what in their AUP you violated? It does not sound like Bandwidth was the issue.

 

oh they said I used over 70% total storage for image. But they give me 900Gb of space ... do you think I can upload 70% total storage in 3 days ? ... they just using their excuse to refund my money. If i violated their AUP, why should they give me the refund ?

 

Yea, I would stay away from them. I have never even heard of them to be honest.

 

yeah, i'm not mad or anything. Just wanna show you how they treat their customer. I would not recommend using their service

 

Besides storage and bandwidth, there are other factors to consider such as CPU and Memory resources. You may not have reached the storage and bandwidth limit, but you may use large CPU and Memory resources which jeopardise other websites from working well.

For your requirement, you get 1000 UV within a few days, which I believe will grow very fast in future. Shared hosting environment may not be suitable for you and you may want to reconsider about moving to dedicated server environment to save you the headache in future.

 

Storage or transfer?

 

IMO,its not storage or bw problem,but it more to CPU and RAM usage.
As image host site is consume more CPU resource,when you exceed it,then they will auto suspend you.

 

Look! I am from Indian and only few more sites provide Unlimited bandwidth! Hostso.com - Has no priority to host Files storage or Hosting adult sites. Well, They has a Dedicated server from The Planet -And they has 2000GB Bandwidth!

They have to follow this... So In my 1 word YOU ARE RIGHT!

oh, i know that. I know a lot of website won't accept me that's why I have to chat with them first and ask.

I ask if I can use image hosting website
They said: YES

I ask if I can post adult content
They said: YES

I ask if there is really unlimited BW
They said: YES

And now they suspend it and give the refund. My time is waste, my money is waste and .... Everything gone. It's a bad company and i'm not recommend it to anyone

Yes, That is true. It is one of the cheater web hosting company. They even cheat their business partners too. I recently have launched affiliate program of their. Referred them sales worth Rs.1,00,000+ and I earned 25% commission too. But after three months, they declined my majority of sales giving reason that their customers have cancelled the order. I am wondering that how can they do it? I have to loss more than Rs.25,000 as commission.

 

Yep, completely agree with you there.

Hosts can easily upgrade HD and BW, however CPU loads can be affected greatly by such uploading pictures sites, especially if the code of the script is not optimized, thus needing much more CPU power aswell as RAM.

Hey, atleast they have refunded you, unlike other hosts - who will just shut you down and run away with your money...

It really all depends from web hosting company and hoe they treat their customers. Be be honest before I have started web hosting service I have tried like 15 services those had advantages and disadvantages, but the only thing which is really important between customer and company is connection which customer and clients need to keep together. Like for example dungdenvn had problems with web hosting company. Do we really know what happened between their connection? I mean I do not say that this web hosting company is good or bad, but what i am trying to tell that if company or customer does dodgy things to each other I guess it will never be the positive review

HostSo.com is a scam.. I am an affiliate for them and generated over 80 sales for this company; however, months later they STILL refuse to send me money...

I wrote a negative review about this company on my website and people STILL sign up for hosting with them... SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! You will be better off with a company like Hostmonster.

 

HOLY CRAP NO! They are hands down the BEST host I have EVER used! I have like 20 sites with them, and their support is AWESOME
