Hosts, want to be certified?

    Hi!

HostingSpeak is still offering certification programs for hosts. These help you by re-assuring the public that your services are good, and low risk. This is also good advertising on the HostingSpeak community, as we would always recommend hosts that have been certified to our members.

For more info, you can check it out at http://hostingspeak.net/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=11.

Our rates are $10 one time for Bronze level, $50 one time for Silver, and $30 per month for Gold.

    Thanks!

No one will join there bro, you gotta understand that.

A company shouldnt pay for reviews. Thats how business works. If you would have made the review program free, you could allready have 1000s of hosts signed up and you would be making a good income with your forum.

Just a tip. Personally I think you are looking to get rich quick by charging incredibly high prices without having done a thing to your forum yet. What I suggest to you is that you just build your forum, attract good members and your forum will grow nicely. As well you should get into FREE link exchanges with other websites.
Reviewing hosts for 360$ / year per package is just not done. Make it 5$ / year for the gold package and I will join in. Im sure like 5000 hosts will join as well, so u would make a nice 25000 $ / year.

    Hi!

We have a free level as well, it just wasn't listed in this thread.

I'm sorry, but $5 per year for a certification that I personally have to keep testing you on, isn't cheap. Also, we monitor your servers through Hyperspin, mainly for customers to see so that it's independent monitoring. A lot of effort on my part goes in to the gold level, and it's for those hosts that can afford to have that level.

    Thanks!

First of all, hostingspeak. net is a new and inactive forum.

    Current Status of the forum:
Secondly, We (the hosting companies) will not get any kind of advantage unless the forum is an active and popular one though we pay $30 per month for its Gold certification. Any paid certification by this community will be a waste of money.

Finally, it seems that the owner of the site wants to make some money very quickly. Paid certification by a forum or community newly opened or unrecognized community can't help you to evaluate or advertise your service.

Is that the same when you or other web hosting provider get award like "Trusted web host"?

Obviously you failed to read the post directly above... I have free levels too. If you also look above, the Gold level has a lot more involved in the process. Including Hyperspin monitoring for the world to see and more. You may see it as a waste of money, but I bet your customers wouldn't think so :).

Additionally, this is not advertising, nor was it intended to be. Maybe you should actually check out the program at our website before you comment, as I don't think you're "getting" the point of the certification.

No, it's 10 times harder. Even "good" hosts have a hard time passing.

Whatever service you provide free or paid it is useless; unless you have a good traffic as well as your site is recognized in which people can believe.

Like I said above, it's not about traffic. Good luck!

It's exactly what I told him. It's weird how some people think that webhosts are desperate while it is the fastest growing market worldwide. 30$ / month is incredibly high for just 7 members. I could build a blog within 15 minutes as well wich would have a higher member / exposure range by just adding it in one description of my videos on youtube.
I really wish the topic starter good luck, but a bit more respect to the hosting business would be appreciated. Once again, 30$ / month is 360$ / year and even the yahoo business directory charges less.

I'm sorry, but I don't see why I should pay for a review and certification.

I wouldn't need monitoring, as I already get it monitored by a few companies, and I doubt it would bring anything to any host at the moment.

    But, good luck!

I think the better question is, what makes you think you're qualified to certify hosts?

If you want to sell web hosting certification. You need to be certified by me or nobody will buy it. It costs $70/y

Obviously, none of you have read above. There are also free certifications as well... That's the last time I'll keep mentioning that.

For the monitoring part, is it accurate monitoring? For HyperSpin, you can set maintenance windows, so the uptime is probably not accurate. Consumers would love to see true independent uptime, and it would definitely reassure any customer.

I think all of you are failing to "get the point". At any rate, good luck with your businesses :).

I agree with you. HostingSpeak .net is not qualified to certify a host. Even I can start a forum like him within minutes. :p

It is better if a third party can certify your host but it have to be a qualified one as well as trusted but Hosting speak don't have these qualities. I am really sorry to say this. :(

I am well qualified, and you can see that in my credentials, which would be discussed prior to certification. Unfortunately, you can't just say I'm not qualified without knowing, and you don't know :).

You'd have a hard time passing certification anyway, so it's probably better for me not to certify you anyway...

What makes you certified to certify hosts?
