Hosting Yahoo/MSN script on a different server?????Is this ok?

    Hey Everyone,
I was wondering, is it ok to host the yahoo/msn script on one server/url and refer to it for other url's?

If I am working with 2 different dp accounts, and tracking a separate url in each, can I use the same yahoo/msn script even if the script resides elsewhere than the domain it is tracking?

Just curious since it seems ideal to not crunch requests from a specific domain. Or is this more based around the ip/limit???

    Just wondering what everyone thinks.

    Yep... doesn't matter at all.

Any idea what the "limit" of queries is per domain/ip? is it like 1000 or just when abused?

Do you think it is wise to keep this script on a separate domain so it doesn't somehow cause issues or set off an unknown flag that may eventually ban or lesser rank a url? Even though I doubt this would happen, figured I would ask what you thought.

Google's API limit is 1,000 queries per day per API key (regardless of IP address). Yahoo limits to 5,000 queries/day per IP address.

As far as trying to "hide" anything... you can if you want, but you aren't doing anything wrong or breaking any TOS, so not sure why you would bother.

That answers it then. I agree, no reason to hide if it is allowed.

    Thanks!
