If i register a domain with one company, can i then host that domain with another company ??

If so, how is it done ??

This would save me hassle (and money) transferring the domain to the new registrar.

Yes, just change the nameservers to point to the other company's servers.

As long as you have access to the domPanel of the domain and hosting panel and you are able to change the nameservers on the domain domPanel you can do it easily.

Search youtube for video tutorials on how to change the NameServers on your current registrar.

Yes, easily. Just ask your hosting company to provide the nameservers you can use. Login to your registrar and edit the domain in question and use the specific nameservers your hosting company provided you.

Usually it is said that companies work better if both hosting and domain name is bought from them.
But it is not a problem to buy domain name from one place and hosting` from another. The action you should take is this: find out the dns srever names from your host service provider company and set your domains with that DNSs.We think it should help.

Yes, and it's also a good idea to keep the domain and the hosting separated. If something goes wrong with your hosting provider, you still have access to your domain configuration, so you can easily move the hosting to another provider in case of trouble.
