Buying Hosting that allows outbound connections on any port

I am looking fro shared hosting that will allow me to run a cURL script that will test the availability and speed of proxies.

Note that my site will only be doing testing of proxies, and will not itself be providing any sort of proxy service.

In effect, the cURL script will make a connection to this site using each proxy from a list in turn and record the result in a MySQL database. The proxies themselves could be running on any port.

Can anyone provide hosting that will allow for this to be done without hindrance? I will only need 1Gb disk space and 1Gb bandwidth per month.

    Post your offers...

Have you thought about dedicated server or VPS at least or you need shared web hosting account and that's it?

I have indeed thought about a VPS or dedicated server, but the costs are pretty high for what I need.

Wow - You really need to look into a VPS or dedicated server then..

Most hosts wont have all those ports open.

Probably not, but if I could have 10 or so of them open it would do the job.

I did find a hosting provider that was able to open 15 or so of these ports - but they shut down my site due to CRON attempting to send too many emails per day. Thus I am still looking for a reliable hosting company that has a PROVEN track record in good customer service. I am wanting to run a business and need a professional hosting company.

    Anyone?
