Is there some good Web Hosting services where we can store up to a 1000 domain names?

I'm sure any good cpanel host will let you have as many add on domains as you like. It doesn't matter how many domains you have but the bandwith and server load.

    Simple answer.

In order to host 1000 websites, either you have to go on a VPS or dedicated as it will slow down the whole server.

Even one website can do a job of 1000 websites if there is too much load.

For allowing 1000 websites for the hosting, either you have to pay for atleast 500 so that company can buy other servers in order that the business runs and you dont use out all the resources.

This statement is not correct. Dual Quad Core Servers have been clocked to handle up to 5000 domains without using the full server load. Also many large hosting companies now use cluster technology which means that they will have at least 8 dual quad core servers interconnected which will definitely be able to handle hundreds of thousands of domain names.

This statement is only true when you are selling hosting accounts from a reseller account. If you do not own the server then it is not recommended that you provide this many domain names.

Calculate the cost for 8 Dual Quad core servers and adding 1000 addon domains on a site which pays about 10$/mo

Obviously it will cost the server to be blown out of resources as they wont have anything else to be provided to other customers.

well may be you can host 1000 domains but probably they will ask you for additional bandwidth fee, do you think the standart bandwidth rates per hosting account can handle the data flow of 1000 websites?

I have a godaddy hosting account that has around 100 odd sites hosted on it. but the majority of the sites are just single pages with no real content and no traffic, the sites that do get traffic, one gets between 10k and 20k visits per month, and another one gets around 130k visits per month, plus there are a few that only get 100 odd visits per month.
That account is meant to have unlimited domains, and has 1.5 terabyte of bandwidth per month. I think the simultaneous connection limit is 100.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

Make sure you backup your sites and databases at Dreamhost, they are well know to delete accounts that use multi domains and they won't give you any warning either, more here

I think people are a bit confused in that it is not the number of domains you have but the amount of bandwidth & server resources you use. one site alone called chew up much more resources than 100 quiet sites.

Most Cpanel hosts allow add-on domains like Hostgator and Lunparpages.com .

If you have so domain names why not spread them over a number of web hosting accounts. Seems it would be quite risky hosting them all at one place.

Is there any reason you want them all on one account?

I use Hostgator for a couple of sites and they seem ok and yes you can host multi domains using Cpanel's add-on feature.
