That's easy to figure. Everyone knows Yahoo can't keep throwing piles of money at people forever and earnings will return to Adsense levels in the near future. You'll see this strategy a lot on buy and sell forums. Value a site based on inflated YPN earnings then get out quick.

I will offer you $133,000 for your site.
I will loan you 100,000 on a 1st to buy your house, then I will apply all the profits for 7 months to the loan and pay you any extra at the end of 7 months, 19k x 7 mo. = $133k

I joke a lot :D , but this time I am actually serious for a change.
I have been buying houses at up to 90% off their retail value for 20 years.
During that time I have also helped a lot of other people to buy houses for a good discount, the link was just about one person I helped.

That sounds perfect, I will ask my lawyer if that is legal, and just to make sure I am 100% covered. (I just want to make sure I wont end up getting sued, and only getting 33k for the site )

I will msg you tommorow about this, but pending the lawyer telling me "stay away" I will accept that as a bid

    post #9 seller said:
I want to buy my first house

the seller said he wanted the money to buy a house, I was just trying to explain that I buy a lot of houses cheap, so he would be more likely to take my offer. that's all.

Also, the admin I use to manage all aspects of the site said he would be willing to work with the new owner and continue managing everything.
His rates are pretty reasonable also

    Is this for real ?
Did Max5 actually buy, not sure what legally (a client list,?), from bostondan ?

If it is and it's not too late, Max5 needs to hire me (or someone with serious hosting knowledge from the inside-out) to defend his interest from a technical point of view. Mucho unanswered questions here ...

Just on the top of my head (nearly the same questions when you buy a house ...hum...):
    - What exact assets are we buying here ?
    - Do any other entities have claims on the assets (the old owner and developer or hoster...etc)?
-Ban the relationship from the seller to the "client list" once the sell is initiated...for 2 to 5 years (need a proven solid contract) ?
-How many sites ? What is the exact distribution of traffic on these sites ?
What is the exact distribution of sites sizes? Just print a list and hide the domain names....
    - Any adult sites. download sites (warez,mp3s or legit downloads...).
    - Distribution of site types (business, personel...etc...).
    - What softwares (php, perl, mysql, cpanel) ... are requires to run these sites
    - How much support time does this business take per week (include everything: email, phone ...etc..) 5 minutes seems very low....
-How many customer signup on average/day (need detailed stats)
-How many since the new ads ?
-How many quit per day (how about since the ads) ?
    etc...

Your both frinken me out here?!?
$100K transaction just like that in a few posts....u crazy or what ?:D

Man you guys got me going for a few minutes here...good one ,
    Christophe

    Update:
The site was listed on ebay and I got overbid so now I am just waiting as a back up offer incase the ebay sale does not go through.
Those are all good points you brought up, and I am probably too trusting... but I just try to be honest and fair when I deal with people, and hope they do the same.

    ????

It's against Yahoo policy to give that info out - in PM or in a forum.

I really dont understand when people do stuff like this..
Is it for attention? Honestly, this just really gets me the wrong way.
Stating the obvious, to try and get in a argument, or find fault perhaps.

Technically you are in the wrong by giving that information out *BUT* I dont see why we need the unoffical yahoo police squad roaming the forum and upholding BS policies like that. Seriously, yahoo better be cutting you a check every month for doing that...
