Is there any connection between Web Hosting and SEO. Does website also affects in search engine optimization. If yes, which are the points that i should consider before choosing a web hosting provider. Please advice...
Web hosting is not a issue to worry about SEO wise, you do however want a reliable host that doesn't have downtime to hurt your ranking and indexing. Choose a industry leader for your web hosting needs, they cost more but you always get what you pay for. Beware of hosting companies and their to good to be true offers, cause they really aren't true.
Good uptime helps rankings A bad uprime is bad that's for sure since google bot won't crawl so many times the site
I do not agree with members that said that there is no connection with SEO and hosting. 1. Uptime is very important (bad hosting bad results) 2. Some hosts are in so called Black List (you can find this with WhoIs tool) 3. Hosting is very important for local results, for example you can't get good ranking in UK if your host IP is in Germany for example.
There is no connection between SEO and Hosting. Hosting must be proven, saful and reliable.I use quite a good hosting.Check my links if you want.
There is a connection. Long term probally not short term yes. Problem is all you guys are simplifing things too much. Google is regional. For isnstance if I wanted to sell product X in say Glasgow, with a fresh new domain due to a lack of seasoned, I would host in that City and try to get local links. Long term probally very little difference, or little difference if you were checking from say New York But if you were checking from Scotland or Glasgow then there is an advantage in the first 12 months. Need to use whois and check out IP of host. This is less so over time as so many people host miles away these days, or you can use webmaster tools to assign a region, but it is common sense that there is a filter to try to provide relevant results. Try typing Pizza Delivery to Google. I'll have a mighty meaty please
