Hosting Related Blog with 1,500 FeedBurner Subscribers

Description:

This site started out a as a free host way back in June 2005. A few months ago I noticed its pages were ranking pretty easily so I decided to convert it to a hosting related blog.

I begin blogging quality posts about every other day or so and subscribers and SE traffic began increasing at a very good rate. Up to this point I was using exclusively AdSense on the blog which was paying garbage so about two months ago I decided to put CJ affiliate ads in the prominent places, with each commission being about ~$90-$100 it converted 3 times during those two months.

This last months I also tried hiring someone else to post (50 cents/post) as I became very busy with other projects and school, he was posting ~2-3 posts every other day but they were of low quality so I took back over but now I’m finding I’m to busy to maintain another site so I’m looking to sell this site off to someone who can write regularly in a quality fashion and maximize the site.

Also about 2 weeks ago I began emailing the hosts that I was reviewing and asking for a link back in exchange for a review on my blog, and most were happy to do the exchange and because of this the rankings have began to rise steadily for very competitive hosting related keywords and I believe the site is on the cusp of tapping that traffic with some more reviews and link backs (check screen shot for the SEO Elite keyword rankings).

Tips for the new owner to maximize the potential:
- Write 3 posts every other day (they don’t take that long)
- Include high quality screenshots
- Emphasize the bad points and catches (gets natural backlinks)
- Contact host and ask for link backs in exchange for the reviews

Revenue Details:

~$90-$100 from CJ and ~$10 from AS

Traffic Details:

Mainly from search engines and feed subscribers returning when site updates.
