Hi all I'm hoping you can help me with a hosting question I have a domain name hosted with one company Strato with which I have altered the A-record to point to a hosting account on godaddy and with the basic website I have there I don't have any speed problems.
I was looking at using WordPress on this hosting but in testing WordPress runs extremely slowly is this something to with the setup is there anything i can do speed thing up any advise you can offer would be most useful as godaddy don't allow .co.uk transfers

If not is there anyway to move both the domain and hosting without any down time?

    Regards

    Anthony

    Dear Anthony,
I advise you to get in touch with the technical department from the above mentioned hosting company and let them know about your situation. They are the ones that can help you resolve your issue.
If things will not move in a good way for you, I recommend you to go with HostGator. I have a network of blogs and many other sites on their servers and works great.
As long as you don't use them for SPAM, adult, warez, casino and other related, your account will work very well.

    Good luck!
    Robert

When you get a new host upload all of the files and databases to your new host and make sure everything works correctly. Once it's all set them change your nameservers over to your new host. Don't cancel or take down you old host until the nameservers have been updated to your new host. By doing this you shouldn't have any down time.
