Hosting Providers being scammers/stealers

Have there ever been any reports of hosting providers scamming/stealing a user's website?? For example, if someone made a forum and got it to be very very popular to earn more than the hosting provider, and the hosting provider stole the forum from them...is that possible?

nerver heard of anything like that but it should be possible bc the serveradmin can create backups and I use them onother servers but I think the users would recognize it

1 - serious hosts will not do it.

2 - they can't because you own the domain ( if bought elsewhere )

3 - i also offer free hosting but never had such an idea.

I've never heard of this problem, and after using a number of relatively unknown hosting companies, I can happily say I've never experienced this problem, either. I think there's always a risk of something like this happening, but that risk is extremely low, as the majority of hosting companies will want to make their money honestly so they get a good reputation and get get more clients :)

Its impossible to stole the forum coz the domain is own by the hostee
And yes its possible to stole the script that used by their hosting client
