Hosting provider has effect on SERPs?

Do you think there is any chance that Google and other SEs somehow give more weight to websites hosted on more popular/reputable hosts rather than unknown/spammy hosts? I am with pt-web.net right now and I have no complaints to them. Service is excellent with many features and little downtime. But I recently got me thinking that maybe if I move to a more popular hosting provider that may help my rankings?:D I am ready to make a move to TCH, even though I will be paying more and will be loosing the convenience of Fantastico if anyone here even thinks that it might help.

I doubt it would have anything to do with SEPR except if a search engine believes that 100% of a particular IP is "spammy". For the most part I don't believe moving from one host to another will have any impact. Save your $.

It is highly unlikely that it will make any difference at all.
