well 16gig is in that 35gig but i only got about 16-18gig altogether stored on the storage host is there anyway of me getting it back to normal as i still waitin for a reply from the host its a shared hosting
I am not sure what exactly you trying to say or it is just me always confuse with certain things? LOL! Anyway, you should wait till they reply you. May I ask how many day already?
well how much space is there on your new host? and how much on your old server? your backup filesize might exceeds the plan's rule
old server i got 50gig and it did the full backup and sent it over which is 16gig the new server i got limit of 40gig and when i click disk space on cpanel on new one says theres about 16-17gig used but main cpanel says 35gig used
It could be that your new host is a bit slow in updating your statistics, or your browser is taking information from your cache. So do a Hard Refresh "CTrL+R" and then see what it shows. If it shows the same, then dont worry if the data is under the space of provision. From everything above i understood this:- You have a new hosting provider and you are migrating from one host to another. Your old backup is of 16 GiGs, but it happens that when you extract it and use it in the new hosting service, you use up about 35gig's of your space. Please correct me if i am wrong. I just got a bit confused.
well i did have a 21gig backup and went to extract and got stuck when it hit 40gig so i deleted it all and it showed 35gig still so i cut my files down to 16gig and i still cant extract the files and still 35gig showing i left a ticket with the host but taking ages and i dont know when my old server gunna get cut off so trying to get it sorted asap or i gunna look else were and get my money back
I think you should wait for next 15-20 minutes and see if it gets updated or not. It sometimes really takes time to get the statistics updated as it could bring the whole server to go slow if they keep on updating each and every person's statistics. If the hosting takes more than 24 hours to reply, i would rather go for some other company
