    My host and he have a slight problem.

    Well... it is quite a complex problem.

    Firstly, i owe him bandwidth money, from when my site overused 250GB of bandwidth in one week. This totals £50. I dont have this kind of money to splash around.

    Secondly, i am assuming me has blocked me on MSN because he is usually online every day and i talk to him about the problems like a gentleman, and i assume he understands me, and i think he understand me.

    Finally, i dont know what i shall do. He has suspended my accounts. I had a reseller with him. I am not going to mention the site or the person who owns the site, but i know his full address.

    Please tell me what to do. I have not been in a situation like this before with a host, all i want is my backups of my sites, and i have a promised a payment of the bandwidth bills when i can pay.

    Rob

    Pay the man and I am sure he will allow you access to your backups.

    Try to rationalize the best/ worst case scenarios. I agree, i'm sure he will let yo access your backups.
    You MUST pay at the earliest!
    -Continue being gentlemen like, and since u have his address write him a letter explaining your situation.
    Again, YOU MUST PAY AT THE EARLIEST!

    if your backups mean anything to you, get the money together and get it together soon.

    the longer you wait the better the chance your data will be deleted.

    You owe him money, you are in the wrong here. Just pay the guy, find some means of doing so and get your backups. That's the easiest and only solution. Do it fast because he has all the rights to close everything of yours and delete it.

    this is the email i sent him

    He replyed with the following;

    I censored his name because i dont want to destroy his hosts rep.

    I replyed with the following;

    I always try a bit of adult humor... Well it is all 100% true..

    Anyway, shall i wait for a reply?

    All there was on there was a few wordpress blogs, a few directorys and one myspace website. Nothing of much value..

    I dont want to let him down and i dont want my sites down.

    Better hurry and start a paper route. You have to pay your debts.

    i think your use of 'adult humour' as you term it, is the worst thing you could possibly do.

    this whole situation makes absolutely no sense at all, what have you been serving that ran up 250Gb worth of bandwith in a week - that doesn't pay you a healthy enough income to cover your expenses.

    i would get borrowing fast. the more threats you send to your host the more likely he will delete your site.

    you are in no position to be rude or demanding. you have a debt to pay.

    Dammit, this is fustrating... I live in a village 2miles from town, too dangerous to walk on the roads, and it would cost more to get there by car/taxi than make any money...

    I better pay asap.

    You are joking, right? The only suggestion (especially since you posted in the legal section) is to pay your debt.

    There are plenty of people on DP that will be happy to hire you to do something useful. Can you do something useful?

    again, if the site means anything to you, you should be able to scrape together £50. that's not that much. sell something, sell some of your other sites you don't want / care about, borrow some money, etc. it's not like you need thousands of dollars here.

    Taking a vacation? Surely staying home and using that vacation budget to pay is the right thing for you!

    A promise in today's context means nothing because the web host does not know you and anyone can make promises that they cannot or do not intend to keep. You owe the money so you should just pay, it is not like you are in the right or anything.

    Why would you destroy it? He's not doing anything wrong. You are by not paying him.

    sounds like many customers i have had in the past and i told the person the same thing your host is doing

    you have 2 options

    1)pay the host and get your files
    2)dont pay the host and have the host keep your files or delete them
