Hosting multiple domains effect on SERPS

Does anyone know if hosting multiple domains (with various and similar themes) cane effect the ranking of a website? Do the search engines crawl the entire hosting as a single entirety?

    Thanks

It should not effect to the SEO but just make sure to avoid duplicate content.

I have dozens of sites all hosted through the one HostGator account and have managed to score quite a few number 1 Google rankings and loads of SE traffic. As long as you have relevant, unique content and build a good flow of backlinks you will do well and it won't matter about your hosting.

I does not matter so long as you do not do too much interlinking between them.

Yes! you can host as many sites as you want to, from the same HostGater account. :)

This doesn't make any difference to your SEO efforts and SERP rankings. I have over 8 websites hosted on a single plan and never got any problem.

If you interlink each other, get static IP for one of them.

Thanks for the info. Will probably consider having separate IP or hosting for sites with similar content and links.
