Hosting Help

Alright, so I've just started my first website a few days ago (in my sig). Anyways, I bought two domain names for that website as well as hosting. I am only using 20 MB of the hosting space even though upto about 20000 GB is allotted, so I have a simple question- can I buy domains for other websites (ie start a new site on a different topic) and use the same space on the hosting website? I use HostICan for hosting, and it uses the standard cPanel.

Yes, you can do as much as teh host allows you to.

Thanks, I guess I will have to look into cPanel to see how to do it as I just started getting into the website business a few days ago (mainly because of coming on DP and seeing some people earned 1k/day )

Ask your host, every host is different.

 

How many addon domains does your host allow ? Depends on that. That figure is unlimited for certain hosts.

 

it will tell you on your cpanel look on the left it should say Addon Domains 1 / ?

 

One problem with adding more domains to just one server is the IP. All your website will have the same IP, so you must be careful when linking them all together, search engines dont like websites with the same ip. But if you have in your mind other ways to get links there is no problem. I have 20 websites on my server .
