    Hi there,

I own, http://randomproxy.co.uk and I send out an email everyday to nearly 400 people. My current host allows up to 500/ hour.

I would like to know of hosts that allow for much more than that in one email blast.

    Any help?

    Josh

    Daily 400 , & 500/hour. You are well within the limit :)

Well, most hosts have a limit to reduce server loads & reduce effects of an unknown spam operation from their servers. We at LaceHost also implement a 500/hour limit. All emails which cross this limit go to the email queue & are delivered in the next run, 60 min later.

I would suggest getting a VPS, then you would have no such limitations.

I suggest you to use 2 different host.
1 for hosting your proxy and 1 for sending email.
You can use this host http://www.wdservers.com/

Now what you should have done was created a yahoo group for your proxy and had those 400 people sign up through a yahoo group and send all your mailings through there. Other wise then i would suggest what mentos said to use one host for your proxy and one for your mailings as we all know proxy servers run high on there own and then send out mass mailings on top of that may not be a good idea.

I think its better not use yahoo or gmail group because you need a yahoo account or gmail make one your self and they can signup with every mail adress...

We use yahoo groups for our proxys and no problem with it at all, members have no complaints, and I dont need to mass mail people from my servers so it is a win win situation. I highly recommend yahoo or google groups.
Members do not need a yahoo email to join, you can join with any email address that they want.

get a 100 mb mail box from answerable.com for $5 a year and send out mails in batches and you can send out literally unlimited mails, as long as you do not send out more than 200 mails per batch

I agree, get a dedicated e-mail service, or better yet your own dedicated server.
Make sure you are not sending SPAM or any provider will shut you down pretty fast though.
