Hosting for large forum

I'm looking for a server which will allow a large forum which uses lots of CPU usage. Lately I've been trying the normal servers but they keep sending me e-mails to transfer to another server as we're 'hogging the shared server'.

    Suggestions?

If your forum is huge then you should be using a VPS or a Dedicated Server.
I sincerely recommend purchasing a server from either rackspace and hivelocity as have they 100% up time with the best cheapest servers you could ever find. Currently I am using hivelocity as they do have cheaper servers than rackspace.
Quick tip: Install LiteSpeed web server, it will help a lot as you have a big forum.

Your forum might just need optimization to lower the load on the server, or if the forum continues to grow I would suggest as others have stated to get a VPS/dedicated server. I doubt you'd need a dedicated if you're somewhat making it by on shared hosting, so a VPS would probably do the trick.

Depending on whether or not you need a robust control panel or just a simple one (more RAM vs less RAM), the cost differences between shared/VPS could sometimes even be comparable or at least close.

You can either go for a VPS or a dedicated server if you have large traffic. You can decide on your budget and then make the decision.

If the CPU usage is within shared hosting limits then you can also check out arvixe as they even allow large resource consuming sites such as social networking and video streaming sites.

Yeah, its time for you to move on to the VPS. There are many reliable VPS hosting providers, go through the DP Web Hosting offers section.

By the way, make sure you purchase a managed server if you have no experience in managing a server.

Some VPS even cheaper than shared hosting plan.

You should check your mysql memory and decide your VPS plan.
