    Hi2all!

I want to start a small iimage hosting site, so I am looking for a hosting company that alows image hosting sites...

I heard that some hosting companys ban accounts if they use to much BW. I was thinking about hostmonster or hostgator, because they have unlimited hosting plans, and that I need, I think :)

But I am not shure, so I need you help!

    Thanks

You can go with those companies but I suggest reading their TOS and/or AUP to ensure they allow image hosting. Usually, you might run into a lot of problems with the legality of the pictures you host.

Your most likely going to get disconnected with a " unlimited host "

Get a host which is affordable and has realistic prices....

as soon as they detect you are using too much resources such companies will terminate your account. I highly recommend a non overselling provider

HostMonster and Hostgators Both are pretty reputed companies and allows unlimited data storage and BW transfer,
but i would suggest you to talk with them through live chat and confirm if they allow image hosting sites.

Yes, that with the content is a problem. but what if I add Therms of use, where I specify that I (the site) am not responsible for the uploadet contet, and if the users wants to upload a file, they must read and check that....

I still coud not found any hosting companys, have someone an idea :)

Buy from a host which has realistic prices, and doesn't offer unlimited space/bandwidth. And make sure the host doesn't oversell and get new servers when server HDD has been sold out...

    Try Bluehost,HostGator,Dreamhost,Hostmonster

I would suggest Hostgator as you can try first month for 1cent with coupon "Wordpress". so you know what are you getting into.

Exactly what I was going to post!

I wouldn't say you need a VPS just yet though. There are plenty of hosting companies that will allow these types to sites, but if you leave hot-linking enabled on your image host, be prepared to burn up a lot of bandwidth.

Best to go with a host that allows you to easily upgrade your plan incase it starts to get popular, and going with an overseller probably will net you some problems. Just be realistic about your requirements and look for a suitable host.
