Hosting Exchange - Am I Nuts ?

I am interested in seeing if there are others out there like me that
have reseller hosting accounts that they are using for "their own" sites

I have 100+ sites spread over 5 reseller accounts and am interested in
spreading these sites over a greater number of IP addresses but dont want
the expense of continuing to add new hosting accounts.

Is it feasible to setup a group that exchanges hosting accounts ...

Meaning I let someone host 1 (or 5 or 10) accounts on my hosting package in
exchange for them letting me host accounts on their hosting package.

It seems like this is doable ... Any Thoughts ?

Jay, I don't have near the sites you have, but I do have a reseller account that hosts most of my sites (10).

Now with my hosting provider, I can request additional IP addresses for a fee and add them to the account. I can then choose for each website which ip address that I want to use.

Keep in mind, I only have a couple of different themed sites, so I do not have and cross linking between my sites.

I am not sure if I would be comfortable about exchanging hosting with other people. Unless your hosting company goes bankrupt, they are not just going to shut down your sites. With someone else, without some sort of contract that can just change their mind and shut down your accounts.
