I am trying to decide between HostGator Business plan and GoDaddy VPS at the moment, and haven't tried HostGator at all previously.

I was happy with GoDaddy VPS, but I'm not down with the price currently.Has anyone tried HostGators Business plan ( 12.99 a month ) yet and if so, which would be the best to go with?

Not sure what HostGator or GoDaddy have than any other hosting company. Is there some specific reason you need to pick between those 2?

What Godaddy VPS plan are you currently using? HostGator doesn't have a VPS plan that I know of... I can't image godaddy VPS being very good. I used their shared hosting a long time ago and wasn't happy. Maybe they are better now but I just use them for domain registration. If you are looking for another VPS solution check out A2Hosting, Lunarpages, or VPSnext.

I am with hostgator and love it there, I have been with godaddy and 1and1 but would only deal with hostgator and 1and1 now, you may not have problems with godaddy now or earlier but trust me if you search the net you will see more problems with them than with hostgator.

Hostgator supports always there and I have over 50 closed tickets in less than a year. so is 1and1 though.

to FreeKii I believe I would not trust anyone that is not the biggest players, after having like a 100 hosts in over ten years, I got tired of my sites always down or the hosting company saying sorry another ddos attack your servers are now located here blah blah blah please reupload your sites.

No stay with the big boys and hope you go with hostgator as it is the best by far.

Only choosing between the two because I trust them ( only ever used GoDaddy, but had go exp. with their VPS, site never down, always great speed and performance on the lowest VPS ). HostGator only because EVERYONE says they are good ( well, not everyone, but you get the picture ).

I will check out the others suggested. I have tried one other company in the past and was incredibly displeased with them ( hostony.com ). Site was always down, slow and the tech team was very unhelpful. Glad I started learning on my own the technical side of hosting and servers.

From my experience,i advise you go for HG VPS coz they are specialize in hosting field.
GD is only well known for their domain service.
