Hosting Company that will allow Newsgroups to be imported?

Hi,

I am looking for a new Hosting Company.

I set up a forum recently for a new site.

I got a script to import Newsgroup postings from msnews.microsoft.com
It didnt work ( time out )
It turned out that my Hosting Company does not let traffic through on Port 119???

Any ideas much appreciated.

What sort of host is it? Do you have shell access?
