Hi 1) Do you spend money with Google Adsense to market your business AKA Adwords and if so, how much a month? 2) Do you buy FB ads to sell web hosting? Thanks for your time - Joseph
I haven't personally in the past with Adwords, it was all word of mouth after getting a few starting clients. Then it spread like wildfire and grew into a good volume to being nearly 24 hours running it. didn't know about Facebook Ads back in 2008, still goes with all the word of mouth and just posting simple information on the company Facebook page is all.
We used it quite a bit back in 2002-2004 but as competition became fierce we have approached other avenues.
Can you explain further? Did the price of the ads get to expensive ? Like to high of "costs per customer " Or where there too many people buying ads ? Amy info you can explain would be great
Meaning major competitors with capital are willing to spend as much as $55 for a single click for popular keyword phrases in the market.
Click cost depends on the keyword. In a month we spend $ 100-200. Select only specific countries and keywords. I advise you to seek subscribers on Facebook, Twitter, Google +.
Select the keywords, check them in google adwords on geography. See which region these keywords are more likely to looking
We mainly tend to focus on referrals from our clients. By taking care of our customers, we believe they will take care of us.
I tried both recently, and spend over few thousand. And i believe none of my sales come from google adwords or facebook. Most of the sales are come from public forum.
Adword marketing is beating a dead horse now a days, specially since search engines like Google have changed the way search is displayed after a query string. As per FB marketing, yes we have, the best thing that has worked for us is word of mouth. We keep our clients happy, and that shines thru to their circle, always has and will be the best form of marketing, word of mouth, not to say other avenues do not work also. Look for product specific avenues.
I don't own a web hosting business any more but I have. I've never been a fan of adwords myself because anyone can click the advert and never purchase anything, and it costs you. There are bots out there who just click adverts just for the sake of it. I've never liked Facebook Adverts either because of the same thing as Adwords people click the advert and don't purchase anything or like the page depending which one you select. The best effective advert system is Twitter, I've heard good things about it and I'm hoping to do a promotion there soon to give it a spin.
