Does the site make any money: No, but place ads on the free hosted sites and you'll get some income from it. The domain is registered with bravenet, the expiration date on the domain is 06-mar-2007. Sadly there isn't a way to push the domain at all, so you'll need to trasfar it to a domain provider. It first started out as a remote forum hosting company called mybbhosting.com, after leaving the MyBB team i change the company to forummax where i offered other host choices. Most clients are still on those plans. I was just looking at WHM and see that there are some clients still on mybbhosting.com, so buy all rights the buy should get that aswell. I'll add that to the first post. The server does run cPanel & Webhost Manager.
Trying to figure out what you are selling on the site. I take it it is just sub-domains? In other words, if you have your own domain, no hosting? Cost is too high for something like this. $44 a month, plus have to buy vbulletin...yuck! With reseller accounts a dime a dozen now, and templates for this a dime a dozen, I do believe that it would be more profitable to go that route. Good luck finding a buyer.
The company forummax.com, all accounts on the server, and other domains mybbhosting.com & mybbhosting.net are for sell. You aren't forced to buy vBulletin.. convert the database to something else. There's a ton of free forum scripts out there. As for cost, you aren't forced to pay $45/month, you can buy a reseller account if you wanted, they are way less, I just choose to use a vps, not a reseller account. Hope that clears it up.
