Hosting change and Google SERPs

    Hey everyone,

I am out of the sandbox at last and Google is bringing me terrific traffic since then. I will definitely exceed my bandwidth sooner or later with my shared hosting.

My question is if I pass on a dedicated server on the same hosting company, will it affect my serps adversely, because of the ip change and etc?

    Has anyone tried it b4?

    Hello cenkbut
it wont really affect anything but yeah its belived that if your site goes downtime for more than 24-48 hours your SERPs might be affected, because if bots comes and visit your page and if they find it down than they might feel that the site is deleted.
So while changing server take care that your site doesnt go downtime.. i would personally recommend to increase your bandwith rather than going with dedicated servers as it may be costlier for you.

thanks a lot. As my website must be so crowded sometimes with online chat and etc so the only way to speed up is to have a seperate dedicated server for it. it will be costlier thats for sure but i hope it will convert well so i will not care so much :p

I've understood about downtime and I cannot afford a downtime more than an hour. The two thing that are scaring me are serps and tricky errors that may occur after the upgrade :(

Why the fuck does everyone and their dog get out of the sandbox and not me or anyone I know personally, despite great efforts, quality sites, regular updates and heavy investment in to plenty of original content?

I know sites that are anything from 6 months to 2 years old and none are out of the sandbox. Is the descision actually left up to God?

Most people I've read lately who've posted about getting out of the sandbox sound like fucking teenagers or can't even speak English reasonably - foreign I imagine. What is it? I have no doubt the sites I build and those I know of that are still sandbox TWO YEARS ON are of far better quality with far better links and far better content.

I'm getting tired of this shit. Every post I read of someone coming out of the sandbox awakes a murderous rage inside of me.

Chill out, m8. I waited for 9 months to get out of sandbox and still have huge problems with deindexed pages.

I can understand your frustration as I've been going through it for the last 7 months, first for the delayed PR update, then the famous sandbox issue. Just because some members here are foreign or teenagers, do not mean that their sites are not eligible to be shown on serps.

I am not a teenager(32 to be exact) nor foreign, btw.

Aye.. I didn't mean you personally cenkbut.

It's good you've managed to get out - unfortunately there's nothing you could say to help those still in! Such is the nature of the sandbox. :(

Best of luck with the site now it's out. Pray the fuckers don't put you back in for some unknown reason. Arghhhh!
