Hosting capable of handling high amount of requests.

Hi,

I am developing a new consumer product for the market that will need a webserver to connect to. I would be looking to buy in around 6 months but first I need some prices and specs.

I anticapate the server load to initially be 10,000 requests every 5 minutes. Which translates to roughly 33.3 requests every second, possibly peaking at around double at 66 per second. The request would query a database and return a yes or no answer.

So, if anyone can provide suitable solution with prices I would be grateful.

How much space do you need?

 

I would suggest you get a vps or a dedicated server for this.

 

if its mysql database intensive then I suggest separating it into two servers, but I don't think you will quite reach that.

I suggest a dedicated server as shared or VPS might not handle that many hits especially since you require DB connect

 

high mysql usage will need faster drives (15k ones) in raid with highly optimized server with good ram . i think it will be hard to find such in shared hosting , you should go for dedicated server
