If you keep your domain name the same, there should be no negative effect of the move. Also there really isn't anything you need to do to keep that ranking and search position the same.

make sure your trasfering process not taken longer than 24 hrs or else if google bot came and cant access your site or found no content, it will affect your SERPs but not affect much on Pr.

If your site language is different than English like Russian that time host your site in Russian hosting firms for getting high rank on Google Search.

The move should be seemless - upload your website to your new hosting service , then change the DNS. Cancel your old hosting account when the DNS changes take effect. There won't be any effect on PR or ranking.

simple, move your site to your new server as soon as you are done uploading your site to new server change your dns and dont rush to delete your website from old server as this dns might take over 24 hr to fully propagate.

As long as it is done in a timely manner and you keep the same structure then you should be fine
