Hosting a WP blog on the internet

I need to know how can I host a WP blog with the address as "example.wordpress.com" to a domain name that I have brought... as in "www.example2.com"?

I agree with all above, get paid webhosting and import your wordpress posts to the selfhosted one.

 

If you are planning on making money with your blog, do not use WordPress.com, they don't allow affiliate links.

Learn the basics of WP and do what the others have said, host your own site.

Self hosting is the best option for you. On wp.com you also won't be able to customize theme and manage plugins. so its best to use your own hosting account.

 

IF all you want to do is just use your own domain and you don't care about the other stuff, then Wordpress.com does allow you to use your own domain, under their service:

Thanks a lot for those responses. What I am planning to do is, to launch a test site- do some experiments with SEO and content+HTML etc and then see how the traffic/search results etc, vary. It is supposed to be a sort of a pilot project- the observations of which I might use to start a full fledged online business in the future
